Home › Hard Baits & Wobblers
A hard bait is judged on two things: whether it swims straight out of the box, and whether the paint survives a season of teeth. Between the seven groups below there are 381 patterns, from a 1g shining wobbler up to a 147g wood popper, and every card carries the length and weight we already hold a mould for. Wood plugs are turned and hand-painted; the plastic bodies are moulded and foiled. Colour cards open from each pattern.
The main plastic body of the range: minnows, shads and stick shapes from 5cm to 19cm, sinking and floating. ZNW numbers cover the sizes we already hold a mould for.

A foil or mirror finish under a clear coat, for the light conditions where a painted lure goes flat. Weights from 1g to 35g.

A slim minnow body with a tight roll. Four to nine centimetres, the sizes a trout and perch buyer asks for.

The WFT numbers we build alongside the CHL: longer bodies, deeper divers and the YM shapes.
Short, deep-bodied lures with a wide wobble. The shapes that work in coloured water and on a slow retrieve.
Turned and painted wood, not moulded plastic. Poppers up to 18cm, stick baits and the jet bait shapes for the big-fish trade.

The shapes known by name rather than by number: Cyclone, Fat Fish, Hollow Fish, Dead Fish, Jerk, Wing Musky and the rest. Quote the name and we know the one.
