A spoon is the oldest metal lure there is, and the one that still sells in every market we ship to: a pressed brass or steel body with a single hook at the tail, fished on a cast and a steady retrieve, or trolled behind a boat at two knots. We press, drill, plate and paint them in Weihai. Between the four groups above there are 89 patterns, from a 3g trout spoon up to the heavy trolling sizes.
The finish is what a buyer makes the decision on. Chrome, gold, copper, painted and hammered finishes are all done here, and a two-tone or a hologram face is a standard option rather than a special order. Hooks and split rings can be supplied fitted or loose, depending on whether the pack is going on a peg or into a kit.
Body and finish. Brass or stainless, polished, plated or painted. Hammered and scale-textured faces are available in the same moulds, so a new look does not mean a new tool.
Dressing. Bare body, single hook, treble, or dressed with a feather or a rubber skirt. Most of our spoon buyers take two versions of the same body, one bare for the kit trade and one dressed for retail.
Packing. Poly bag, printed header card, or a moulded tray for a spoon set. Colour cards can be built to your own range rather than ours.
